POST TESTING NOTES: OVERALL ENGINE LOOKS GOOD OUT OF CAR BUT I DO SEE THAT VALVE COVER, OIL PAN & POSSIBLY REAR MAIN SEAL IS WEEPING OIL & AS ALWAYS RECOMMEND DOING ANY MAINTENCE ITEMS SUCH AS TIMING, TENSIONERS, SEALS GASKETS AND OTHER WEAR ITEMS WHILE ENGINE IS OUT AND IT'S EASY AS WELL AS NEW GASKETS FOR THE LEAKY AREAS MENTIONED. THIS ENGINE HAS AN OPEN NHTSA RECALL 22V119 FOR PCV VALVE HEATER.

Note: NHTSA Recall Number 22V119 IS INCOMPLETE, WIL REQUIRE FUSE 7.5 AMP INSTALLATION TO PCV HEATER.

In-car test: ENGINE RUNS WELL, MADE GOOD POWER AND IDLE IS NICE AND SMOOTH. DID NOT ON COLD SOAK LIFTERS BLEED OUT AND ARE TICKY ON COLD START BUT IT GOES AWAY WHEN WARM AND DRIVEN. PENDING A GOOD COMPRESSION TEST AND PHYSICAL CHECK THIS WILL BE A UNIT.

Out-of-car inspection: OVERALL ENGINE LOOKS GOOD. NOTED VALVE COVER, OIL PAN AND POSSIBLY REAR MAIN SEAL LEAKING A BIT OF OIL. AS ALWAYS RECOMMEND DOING ANY MAINTENECE ITEMS (SUCH AS TIMING CHAIN, CHAIN GUIDES TENSONERS, SEALS, GASKETS AND ANY OTHER WEAR ITEMS OUT OF CAR) NHTSA Recall Number 22V119 IS INCOMPLETE AND SHOULD BE PERFORMED BEFORE INSTALL.
