POST TESTING VISUAL INSPECTION NOTES: ENGINE LOOKS GOOD I DO NOTE SOME OIL WEEPING AROUND VALVE COVERS, REAR TIMING COVER, OIL PAN, OIL COOLER HOSES KINKED, ON OIL COOLER DRAIN 2 SMALL PIECES OF PLASTIC WHICH MAY BE TIMING GUIDE MATERIAL, HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOING TIMING ON THIS ENGINE SINCE IT'S A COMMON FAILURE OF THESE AS WELL AS SERVICING ANY OTHER WEAR ITEMS AND REPLACING GASKETS ON THE OTHER ITEMS PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED ABOVE BEFORE PUTTING ENGINE BACK INTO SERVICE.

In-car test: ENGINE RUNS GOOD AND IDLES SMOOTH, ONLY RAN FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS BECAUSE RADIATOR MISSING. WIDE OPEN SNAP SOUNDS GOOD, PENDING A PHYSICAL CHECK AND GOOD COMPRESSION NUMBERS THIS WILL BE A UNIT.

Out-of-car inspection: OVERALL ENGINE LOOKS GOOD, DID NOTE SOME OIL LEAKING AROUND VALVE COVERS , REAR TIMING COVER, AND OIL PAN. ALSO NOTED THE OIL COOLER HOSES HAVE A KINK AND SHOULD BE REPLACED. ON OIL DRAIN NOTED 2 SMALL PEICES OF PLASTIC THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE FROM TIMING GUIDES (COMMON FAILURE ITEM ON CFSA ENGINE) , THE FAN CONNECTOR HOUSING IS CRACKED AND SHOULD BE REPLACED OR REPAIRED, 4 BOLTS WERE REMOVED FROM DAMPENER TO TURN CRANKSHAFT WITH TOOL AND ARE NOT INCLUDED.
