ASE MASTER MECHANIC TEST NOTES & FLAWS NOTED DURING TESTING: (1 - RUNNING ENGINE TEST NOTES): Engine runs good. It starts right up, idle is nice and smooth, and wide open throttle snap sounds good. The oil quality looks good and there is no smoke from tail pipes. I do note that the oil filter stand gasket and cooler gasket are weeping oil pretty bad and need replaced There are no unusual noises from operating engine; (2 - POST REMOVAL INSPECTION NOTES): Engine overall looks good. Water pump feels good, valve cover appears to be weeping oil from gasket and previous owner tried to seal with silicone also oil pan gasket might also be weeping but hard to tell if it's not from filter stand & cooler. Front and rear mains look dry. Overall a healthy engine assembly that needs some normal maintence before putting back on the road..

In-car test: ENGINE LOOKS GOOD, OIL COOLER GASKETS AND OIL FILTER STANG GASKETS ARE LEAKING PRETTY BAD AND SHOULD BE REPLACED. PENDING A COMPRESSION TEST AND PHYSICAL CHECK THIS WILL BE A UNIT.

Out-of-car inspection: OVER ALL ENGINE LOOKS GOOD. DID NOTE VALVE COVER GASKET LEAKING AND PREVIOUS OWNER TRIED TO SILICON IT, DEFINATLY OIL FILTER STAND GASKET LEAKING AND POSSIBLY OIL PAN GASKET. AS ALWAYS, RECOMMEND ANY SERVICE AND WEAR ITEMS SUCH AS TIMING CHAINS, BELTS, GUIDES , TENSIONERS, SPARK PLUGS , INJECTORS, PUMPS, SEALS ,GASKETS AND FILTER BE SERVICED BEFORE ENGINE BE PUT BACK INTO SERVICE.
