ASE MASTER MECHANIC TEST NOTES & FLAWS NOTED DURING TESTING: (1 – RUNNING ENGINE TEST NOTES): Engine runs good with nice idle quality and smooth operation. It starts promptly, responds well to throttle, and no abnormal noises (ticking/knocking) were noted. Oil condition appeared clean, and no blue/gray smoke was observed from the exhaust. Supercharger operation sounded normal during testing. (2 – POST REMOVAL INSPECTION NOTES): Overall the engine looks good. Inspector noted oil weep around the timing covers and valve covers. The water pump has some play. Supercharger and PCV valve are not included with this assembly. As always, we recommend replacement of standard service and wear items (such as gaskets, seals, hoses, belts, and filters) prior to installation to ensure long-term reliability.

Note: NO SUPERCHARGER OR PCV VALVE INCLUDED.

In-car test: ENGINE RUNS GOOD, HAS A NICE IDLE QUALITY. IT DID SET FAULT FOR PCV VALVE AND I CAN SEE A BROKEN BREATHER HOSE SO WE WILL REMOVE PCV VALVE AND SUPERCHARGER AND SEND IT THOUGH LIKE THAT. PENDING A COMPRESSION TEST AND PHYSICAL CHECK THIS WILL BE A UNIT.

Out-of-car inspection: OVERALL LOOKS GOOD. DID NOTE OIL WEEP AROUND TIMING COVER AND VALVE COVERS. ALSO NOTED WATERPUMP HAS SOME PLAY. AS NOTED THIS ENGINE DOESNT COME WITH SUPERCHARGER OR PCV VALVE. AS ALWAYS, RECOMMEND ANY SERVICE AND WEAR ITEMS SUCH AS TIMING CHAINS, BELTS, GUIDES , TENSIONERS, SPARK PLUGS , INJECTORS, PUMPS, SEALS ,GASKETS AND FILTER BE SERVICED BEFORE ENGINE BE PUT BACK INTO SERVICE.
