(1 - RUNNING ENGINE TEST NOTES): Engine runs great, starts right up, idle is smooth, and wide-open throttle snap sounds good. Oil quality looks good and there's no smoke from the tailpipes. No unusual noises heard from the operating engine. (2 - POST REMOVAL INSPECTION NOTES): Engine overall looks solid with no major issues found during teardown. Oil weep/leaks from the typical spots: Valve cover, Oil Filter Stand and Rear Main Seal. Also the Oil Pan but that is a very faint weep. Turbo feels tight with minimal radial or axial play, and wastegates have typical movement. (3 - SHOULD ALWAYS BE DONE): Replacement of timing components, plugs, injectors, pumps, seals, gaskets, hoses, and filters should be done prior to installation for long-term reliability.

In-car test: Engine runs great. radiator wasnt hit so coolant supply wasnt compromised. Pending a compression test and physical check this will be a unit.

Out-of-car inspection: Overall engine looks good. Noted oil leaks from the typical places, valve cover, oil filter stand and rear main seal, possible oil pan but its faint. turbo feels pretty tight but there is a little oil on turbine so customer may want to use their turbo. As always, I recommend any service and wear items such as timing chains, belts, guides , tensioners, spark plugs , injectors, pumps, seals, gaskets and filter be serviced before engine is put back into service.
