(1 - RUNNING ENGINE TEST NOTES): Engine runs great, starts right up, idle is smooth, and wide-open throttle snap sounds good. Oil quality looks good and there's no smoke from the tailpipes. No unusual noises heard from the operating engine. (2 - POST REMOVAL INSPECTION NOTES): Engine overall looks solid with no major issues found during teardown. Slight oil weep around valve cover gasket, both front and rear mains look dry. The oil pan also appears leak-free. Turbo feels tight with minimal radial or axial play, and wastegates have typical movement. (3 - SHOULD ALWAYS BE DONE): Replacement of timing components, plugs, injectors, pumps, seals, gaskets, hoses, and filters should be done prior to installation for long-term reliability.

In-car test: Engine runs well, nice smooth idle and wide open snap sounds good. Radiator wasnt hit so coolant supply wasnt compromised. Pending a compression test and physical check this will be a unit.

Out-of-car inspection: Overall engine looks great, did not a slight oil weep around valve cover gasket and the turbo has some axial play but turbine is dry so its still got some life left in it. As always, I recommend any service and wear items such as timing chains, belts, guides , tensioners, spark plugs , injectors, pumps, seals, gaskets and filter be serviced before engine is put back into service.
