ASE Master Mechanic Inspection

(1 - RUNNING ENGINE TEST NOTES): Engine runs great, starts right up, idle is smooth, and wide-open throttle snap sounds good. Oil quality looks good and there's no smoke from the tailpipes. No unusual noises heard from the operating engine. (2 - POST REMOVAL INSPECTION NOTES): Engine overall looks solid with no major leaks or issues found during teardown. Valve covers don't appear to be leaking, and both front and rear mains look dry. The oil pan gasket will need replaced prior to installation. Cam adjuster plug lock is broken on intake side but still plugs in and functions. Water pump gasket leaks but should be replaced regardless. (3 - SHOULD ALWAYS BE DONE): Replacement of timing components, plugs, injectors, pumps, seals, gaskets, hoses, and filters should be done prior to installation for long-term reliability.

In-car test: Engine looks and runs well. Smooth idle and wide open snap sounds good. radiator wasnt hit so cooling system wasnt compromised. Pending a compression test and physical check this will be a unit.
Out-of-car inspection: the oil pan gasket needs to be replaced.the cam adjuster for the intake the plug is broken but still plugs in. the water pump gasket leaks
