(1 - RUNNING ENGINE TEST NOTES): Engine runs great, starts right up, idle is smooth, and wide-open throttle snap sounds good. Oil quality looks good and there's no smoke from the tailpipes. No unusual noises heard from the operating engine. (2 - POST REMOVAL INSPECTION NOTES): Engine overall looks solid with no major issues found during teardown. Valve cover gasket has small leak, both front and rear mains look dry. The oil pan also appears leak-free. (3 - SHOULD ALWAYS BE DONE): Replacement of timing components, plugs, injectors, pumps, seals, gaskets, hoses, and filters should be done prior to installation for long-term reliability.

Note: tested 12volt starter and it tests good. in final scan it had set fault for line disconnect so may have just been issue with cars wiring.

In-car test: Engine runs good, nice smooth idel and wide opn snap sounds good. Pending a compression test and physical check this will be a unit.

Out-of-car inspection: Overall engine looks great, Did note a little oil leaking around valve cover gasket. Tested 12 volt starter motor as DME stored a fault fir line disconnected, Starter tested good. see video in folder 2041. As always, I recommend any service and wear items such as timing chains, belts, guides , tensioners, spark plugs , injectors, pumps, seals, gaskets and filter be serviced before engine is put back into service.
