Noted flaw(s) — photographed above: NOTE: Turbo is BAD; ASE MASTER MECHANIC TEST NOTES & FLAWS NOTED DURING TESTING: (1 - RUNNING ENGINE TEST NOTES): Engine runs good. It starts right up, idle is nice and smooth, and wide open throttle snap sounds good. The oil quality looks good and there is no smoke from tail pipes. There are no unusual noise from operating engine other than some waste gate rattle and engine is a little ticky (common for the N2 engine); (2 - POST REMOVAL INSPECTION NOTES): Engine overall looks good. There are a few spots where oil is weeping - valve cover gasket, oil cooler / filter stand & vacuum pump has oil inside (indicating a bad vacuum pump - I had our team remove the bad vacuum pump). The turbo is bad (some of the fins are broken - you will need to source one to install or install yours). Front and rear mains seals look good.

In-car test: ENGINE RUNS GOOD, DIDN’T RUN FOR MORE THAT 30 SECONDS DUE TO LOW COOLANT. PENDING A GOOD COMPRESSION TEST AND PHYSICAL CHECK THIS WILL BE A KEEP. NOTED OIL IN VACUUM TANK INDICATING A BAD VACUUM PUMP AND IT WILL BE TOSSED.

Out-of-car inspection: OUT OF CAR ENGINE LOOKS GOOD, NOTED OIL LEAKING AROUND VALVE COVER GASKET, OIL COOLER / FILTER STAND AND VACUUME PUMP HAS OIL INSIDE OF VACUUM HOSE (VERY COMMON ON THESE) WILL REMOVE VACUUM PUMP. TURBO IS BAD, DEBRIS HIT THE COMPRESSOR WHEEL AND BROKE SOME FINS. (SUGGEST CUSTOMER USE THEIRS). FRONT AND REAR MAIN SEALS LOOK OK
