Noted flaw(s) — photographed above: ASE MASTER MECHANIC TEST NOTES & FLAWS NOTED DURING TESTING: (1 - RUNNING ENGINE TEST NOTES): Engine runs good. It starts right up, idle is nice and smooth, and wide open throttle snap sounds good. The oil quality looks good and there is no smoke from tail pipes except on cold start after sitting overnight (suspect turbos leaking oil - will inspect when out). There are no unusual noises from operating engine; (2 - POST REMOVAL INSPECTION NOTES): Engine overall looks good. Water pump feels good. There is a small oil weep starting around the valve cover and lower oil pan. I verified turbo was indeed leaking oil resulting in the puff of smoke on cold soak. The turbo is bad and we removed it (not included with assembly - you will need to supply your own). The coil boots looked a little beat up so we removed coils as well (you will also need to supply your own).

Note: TURBO CHARGER SEAL WAS FOUND TO BE LEAKING OIL INTO TURBINE. REMOVED. CUSTOMER WILL HAVE TO SUPPLY THEIR OWN TURBO.

In-car test: ENGINE RUNS GOOD, NICE IDLE QUALITY. PENDING A PHYSICAL CHECK AND COMPRESSION TEST THIS WILL BE KEPT AS AN ASSEMBLY.

Out-of-car inspection: OVERALL ENGINE LOOKS GOOD. NO SIGN OF PHYSICAL DAMAGE, WATER PUMP FEELS GOOD, VERY SMALL OIL WEEP STARTING AROUND THE VALVE COVER AND LOWER OIL PAN. VERIFIED TURBO WAS LEAKING OIL RESULTING IN THE PUFF OF SMOKE ON COLD SOAK (APROX 16HRS). REMOVED TURBO CHARGER FROM ASSEMBLY SO CUSTOMER WILL HAVE TO SUPPLY THEIR OWN. COIL BOOTS LOOKED A LITTLE SUSPECT, REMOVED COILS AS WELL.
