(1 - RUNNING ENGINE TEST NOTES): Engine runs great, starts right up, idle is smooth, and wide-open throttle snap sounds good. Oil quality looks good and there's no smoke from the tailpipes. Some audible wastegate rattle heard while operating engine. (2 - POST REMOVAL INSPECTION NOTES): Engine overall looks solid with no major leaks or issues found during teardown. Noted small oil weep around Valve covers, but very minimal and both front and rear mains look dry. The oil pan also appears leak-free. Turbo feels tight with minimal radial or axial play, and wastegates have typical movement. (3 - SHOULD ALWAYS BE DONE): Replacement of timing components, plugs, injectors, pumps, seals, gaskets, hoses, and filters should be done prior to installation for long-term reliability.

Out-of-car inspection: OVERALL ENGINE LOOKS GOOD, DID NOT A SMALL OIL WEEP AROUND VALVE COVER BUT NOT BAD. AS ALWAYS, RECOMMEND ANY SERVICE AND WEAR ITEMS SUCH AS TIMING CHAINS, BELTS, GUIDES , TENSIONERS, SPARK PLUGS , INJECTORS, PUMPS, SEALS ,GASKETS AND FILTER BE SERVICED BEFORE ENGINE BE PUT BACK INTO SERVICE.
