(1 - RUNNING ENGINE TEST NOTES): Engine runs great, starts right up, idle is smooth, and wide-open throttle snap sounds good. Oil quality looks good and there's no smoke from the tailpipes. No unusual noises heard from the operating engine. (2 - POST REMOVAL INSPECTION NOTES): Engine overall looks solid with no major issues found during teardown. Noted an oil weep from Valve Cover and Balance Shaft Galley Plug at the front of the engine (It's the plastic type that usually leaks). The oil pan also appears leak-free. Turbo feels tight with minimal radial or axial play. **Does NOT include turbo actuator as it was found to have a crack in it. (3 - SHOULD ALWAYS BE DONE): Replacement of timing components, plugs, injectors, pumps, seals, gaskets, hoses, and filters should be done prior to installation for long-term reliability.

Out-of-car inspection: Engine looks good, did note an oil weep from valve cover and balance shaft galley plug at front of engine (the plastic one that usually leaks). Turbo feels good, very little radial or axial play. Doesnt include turbo actuator as it was found with a crack. As always, I recommend any service and wear items such as timing chains, belts, guides , tensioners, spark plugs , injectors, pumps, seals, gaskets and filter be serviced before engine is put back into service.
